Ok, clearly I have joined the gigantic Rosette necklace bandwagon. And honestly, I have no idea why. The darn thing is humongous! And after wearing it all day it actually made my neck kind of hurt. And yet there is something about it........ Kind of like a car wreck. You know you shouldn't be slowing down to look at the carnage because you know it's going to be sad and tragic, but something just makes you anyway.
After wearing this heavy yellow necklace all day, I did take the advice of Gigi from Gigi's Gone Shopping and remove one of the rosettes from each of my necklaces (yes--necklaces, plural. I now have 4 of them: mint, yellow, white and coral pink. I blame Groop Dealz and their super cheap prices for "tricking" me into buying multiples.). Anyway, taking the necklace down from 7 rosettes to 6 makes it a more manageable size for me, it rests more flatly against my neck, doesn't flop around as much now, and doesn't feel so heavy on my neck.
As to the rest of the outfit, the pants are the Pinwheel Eyelet Cafe Capri from J Crew. Speaking of heavy........dang! These things must weigh at least 5 lbs on their own! I'm slightly worried with such thick heavy fabric that they are adding visual weight to my frame. I love the eyelet pattern so I decided to keep them (that, and they were final sale), but for realz, people! Who ever approves and purchases the fabrics for J Crew clearly was not All Present when making the decision for these pants.
