OOTD: 2/9/13 -White in Winter

Shirt: Brooks Brothers Tailored Shirt, sz. 2
Jeans: American Eagle Skinny, sz.4
Shoes: Brooks Brothers
Bag: LV Evora

I wore this back at the beginning of February {yes, yes. I know I'm super behind in the OOTDs. It doesn't bother me, if it doesn't bother you, ok?} Anyway, early February is still winter in most areas, and I know that with traditional fashion rules wearing white  in winter is frowned upon. Good thing I've already announced I'm no longer following those traditional rules.

White jeans are my absolute favorite. I think they are far more versatile than blue jeans. Because blue jeans are well, blue. And not every single top goes with  the color blue. People play far too fast and loose with blue jeans, if you ask me. If you had just a plain pair of chinos or trousers (not made of denim material) that were the same shade of blue as blue jeans would they be treated as the same neutral "match with anything" pants that jeans are? I know I wouldn't.

But white? White literally works with every color of the rainbow. Now, if only I could hide and ignore dirt and spilled soda on white jeans the same way I can on blue jeans.

  3. That you for being the only other person I've ever 'met' that considers jeans to be blue pants!!! It makes me crazy! They are blue and as such go terribly with many colors.

    1. Glad to hear I'm not the only one then! Sometimes blue just doesn't go that well. It bugs me when salespeople say, "oh, can be worn with jeans!"

I'd love to hear your thoughts! That said, please remember to be kind, and don't say anything your mother would not approve of!
