OOTD: 2/22/13

Shirt: random find from TJ Maxx
Jeans: Lands End Girls Overdyed zip jeans, sz. 16 girls
Shoes: Bloch
Bag: LV Evora

I really loved the way this outfit came together! The jeans are another pair of Lands End girls jeans, and I just love the way they fit! They have some really cute new colors for spring, and even a printed pair I'm considering. I don't know if printed jeans are quite my style, and I have a feeling they'll look terribly dated within a few seasons, but they do look fun!

The shirt is what I'm really loving though! It was a random find at TJ Maxx for less than $20! I just loved it. I'm usually kind of 'meh' about the whole chambray thing. I've tried (and own) several chambray shirts and they usually just sit in the closet unworn. Too stiff, too bulky, too heavy for my hot climate. But this shirt is fantastic---super soft, lightweight, and incredibly drapey.  And I love that it's short-sleeved! I had never heard of the brand, and when I got home it did some searching on it. Turns out it's being sold at Anthropologie. I'm not an Anthro shopper at all, but if this is the type of stuff they have, maybe I should start!

  1. Hah, I'm not sure what this says about me, but the first thing I thought when I saw your OOTD photo was, "hey, that looks like the tencel chambray shirts Anthro has been carrying lately." Is yours made of tencel, too? I've been thinking about the chambray trend and the tencel fabric, reportedly super-sort and still fully machine wash/dryable, is tempting me.

    1. Yes--it is! I think that's what makes me like it so much--super soft and fluid feeling. I haven't washed mine yet, so I hope it maintains it's good feeling when I do!

  2. How fresh and pretty! I recently bought a pair of pink skinnies from Gap, and I am waiting til it gets just a bit warmer here to break them out.

    1. Thanks! The bright pink certainly puts one in the mood for spring! Somehow I feel far more comfortable wearing bright skinnies in the warmer months too.

  3. Awesome outfit! You look fabulous without glasses, ditch them...at least during the weekend!

    1. Thanks! I usually do! I just need them for teaching class during the week to see all the sleeping faces in the back rows :)
