Winter Vacation Day 12: 1/8/13 -Stratosphere

Sweater: Lands End, sz. XS
Top: J Crew Perfect Shirt, sz. 2
Jeans: American Eagle, sz.4
Shoes: Brooks Brothers
Bag: LV Evora
Necklace: J Crew Factory
(vest): Lands End Canvas

I seem to be repeating a pattern here of jeans, a button-down, and a sweater---not my fault!! My suitcase obviously limited my options, and though it wasn't drastically cold in Vegas, it was a heck of a lot colder that I'm used to, so layers were a necessity for me. Plus, I just really like the clean (somewhat preppy) look of a simple sweater layered over a buttondown, and I can rarely pull it off in my usual warmer climate.

On day 12 Husband wanted to take Child up to the top of the Stratosphere to see all of Las Vegas. I hate to play the gender card but this must be one of those things that impresses dads and little boys far more than moms. Tickets were bought well in advance and Husband was impatient and rushed us that morning so we could get up to the top of the Stratosphere before it got crowded. He claimed he was rushing me for the sake of Child, but I wonder...........

Once we got there let's just say I had a view completely unobstructed by other people and I could have easily slept for another few hours without jeopardizing anything. My Dad, Husband, and Child were all thoroughly impressed. They oohed and aahed. The video recorder was taken out.
Meanwhile, my mom and I sat on stools planning where we'd like to shop that day. Apparently heights didn't impress the female half of our party.

  1. Wow - this is a lovely green colour which suits you so well!

There are some "typical" father&son activities which do impress us a bit less ;-)

  2. I just love this outfit, and the one from 1/31. I'm excited because I own both of those plaid J. Crew shirts and I just love how both look on you with the layered look! I hope to wear mine soon.

I'd love to hear your thoughts! That said, please remember to be kind, and don't say anything your mother would not approve of!
