OOTD: 12/13/12

I totally stole this outfit inspiration from Kittywitty on Polyvore. I love the idea of winter white with a festive red shirt. Lumberjack chic. I wanted to get the J Crew version of this lumberjack shirt, but I heard in reviews that the black is really more of a dusty gray, which isn't what I was looking for at all. If I was going to have a washed out, faded looking shirt it better be from over-wear and not look that way fresh from the package.
 
J Crew's retail price for their tired looking shirt was just a little more than I was willing to pay, so I was delighted to find a much cheaper and truer-colored version at Forever 21. Probably not the most high-quality button down I own, but I bet that cheap cotton twill will stay newer-looking longer than J Crew's version. And if not, at only $12, I can buy multiples and just toss them out as they get old looking.

  1. The necklace looks lovely on the white jumper...I bought a white jumper (from Forever 21) recently, and I have been wearing it lots and lots. It's called 'contrast neckline sweater' and has a sparkly black crew neckline. It's is such great quality in terms of fit and feel. I think you'd like it!! x

  2. I like this outfit a lot. It looks cute and comfortable. And I love the addition of a sparkly necklace. Lumberjack chic indeed!

    This season I've really been into winter white. You've given me another way to wear it. I know I have plenty of plaid and gingham button downs to pair with it. :-)

    1. I love winter white too! White cords are my favorite, but they don't love me back--to hard to keep clean in the winter!

  3. Adorable, Paul! Just kidding, really ;) I've been wearing my red and black buffalo check jacket nonstop.

    I have the J.Crew shirt and come to think of it, it is charcoal grey rather than black but I don't mind that so much. You look great in this outfit, I love it and will be stealing.
