This is one of my attempts to wear more patterns on my top half. I mentioned a while back that I was going to make an effort to wear more prints and patterns on the top this Spring. Sometimes it's good to push out of a comfort zone.

But at the same time, since I'm not prone to wearing patterned tops, I'm also not comfortable yet with spending a lot on said tops. So this one is another clearance find from Banana Republic Factory. Yes, it's a cheap poly, but the pattern is quite pretty and for less than $15, I though it was a good risk. And look-- it's a floral! Oh, so uncomfortably out of my zone! Even Husband noticed I was pushing myself.

Our morning conversation on the outfit was: "I've never seen that top before. That's not something you would usually wear. I like it. You should wear stuff like that more."

And because I like to mess with him, my response was: "Oh, yeah? Stuff like what?"
Because I think he's cute when he tries to attempt "fashion talk."

Husband replied: "You know, flowery, girlie stuff."

Me: "What? I'm not girlie enough as it is? You know, a girl doesn't have to wear flowers to be girlie."

Husband: "Oh, look! It's getting late. I've got to get to work now! I still like the top. Bye!"

And that's probably the last nice comment I'll get from him for the next week.
But it was still worth it. I love messing with Husband.

  1. If you're feeling brave enough, try a paisly print pant like the one I'm wearing today:
