OOTD: 2/16/12

Apparently I'm obsessed with polka-dots. I can't seem to get enough of them. I'm very particular about the patterns I'll wear on my top half. I have a few that I wear all the time, like stripes and gingham, but other than that, I don't wear too many prints on my top half. Very rarely will you ever see me in a floral on top. But I think I'm going to be adding polka dots to my list of "safe" prints.

And yay to me for feeling more comfortable wearing my Minnies. I think they may be an acquired taste. What do they say about babies-- I read that parents have to try a new food with the baby 10+ times to really know if a baby likes the taste of something. Maybe that's true with the J Crew Minnie too. At first I wasn't so certain, thinking they were too body skimming to wear to work. But now after wearing them a few times, I've decided that I really like the look of them. So much so, that I bought a 2nd pair of the bi-stretch wool Minnies in black during one of the recent sales where the 30% off applied to the Minnie promo price. And I like my new black pair even better than the charcoal pair I have on in this set. I have a feeling you'll be seeing me in Minnie a lot more in the upcoming days.

  2. Love the polka dots! I have been adding a lot more polka dots in my closet lately(maybe too many!!) Some people say the polka dots are too " cute-sy" but I think they are the most timeless and classic pieces. I have tried on the minnie at the store and they certainly look much better on you than me.

    Small Town Gal- I think with polka dots it's all how you wear them. I agree with you-- very classic looking if done right. Maybe they can read cute-sy at times, but I think I'd rather lean towards cute-sy than mumm-sy, right?

  4. I LOVE my wool Minnies... in all three colours! My PS said she would suggest they bring these in more colours next fall. I can't wait. I told her I'd probably get one in every colour!
