It's kind of hard to tell from these photos, but I'm again sporting the "holiday themed" attire. This time it's a blackwatch tartan print shirt from Lands End Canvas. This was an item from last winter, and it's one of my favorites. I love blackwatch, and wish I could get away with wearing it more during the rest of the year.

Oh, and look what my parents sent in a care package this week--- lefse!
May dad's side of the family is Norwegian, and lefse is something that we used to have every holiday season. Now that I live in Texas, I don't usually get to make it to all the family holiday parties, and I've been missing eating this traditional Norwegian treat.

For those of you who are non-Minnesota Norwegians, it's kind of like tortillas or French crepes. For making lefse, the process is the same as how a tortilla is made, but potato is used instead of corn or white flour. You can put either sweet or savory things in them, but my favorite is just  to roll it up with a little smear of butter and brown sugar. Mmmmm......

Does anybody else have traditional holiday foods they're looking forward to?
